Caazapá Youth Festival for the Dia de Jueventud

A few weeks ago, I went to this fun festival with concerts and a parade for the Dia de Jueventud (Day of the Youth- a national holiday in Paraguay) and also for the first day of Spring! About two thousand people or so attended. Several different bands performed including Orion, a local band made up of youth from Caazapá, which did a great job! The festival is sponsored by the local municipality of Caazapá.

In the picture you can some very colorful and elaborate floats and horses that were part of the parade, a beauty contest, the main church and plaza of Caazapá, and some friends and I at the concert!
